Mayor Amento and Economic and Community Development Director Dale Kroop are pleased to announce the openings of several new businesses in Hamden. The businesses range from an affordably-priced clothing store, to a cellular phone store, to a nail salon, to a pet supply outlet, to the first "Mist On" tanning salon in Connecticut, and to a shoe store featuring Timberland products. The new businesses create a variety of shopping opportunities for Hamden and non-Hamden residents alike. Mayor Amento states, "It's great to see these new businesses opening up all over town. Business owners recognize Hamden's strength in retail. Hamden residents and our neighbors from surrounding towns are pleased to patronize the shops right here where access and parking are so easy.
