The Town of Hamden is focused on developing its commercial tax base, increasing job opportunities and improving the quality of life in its neighborhoods. They do this through the many activities identified in its long range Economic Development Plan.

Since 1998 the department has implemented a comprehensive, long-range Economic Development Plan that put initiatives into action through several business incentives. The Town offers numerous benefits through its business incentive program and provides linkage to numerous commercial lenders.
