Property Improvement Grants

The town offers direct grants to businesses for property improvements for commercial, retail, office, manufacturing, storage, warehousing and distribution development throughout all areas of Hamden.

PROPERTY IMPROVEMENT (CASH) INCENTIVES:

Property improvements include all site work including paving, curbing, landscaping, fencing, utilities and drainage. It also includes all improvements to buildings such as structural (foundation, all sections, roof) and electrical, mechanical, HVAC, telecommunication improvements, etc., all of which will be fixed improvements, not removable the occupant.
Applicant should submit a budget with their applications, which outlines site and/or building work to be completed. The amount of the grant will be determined by the type and amount of investment made by the business, as well as other factors such as the location of the project and the number of jobs to be created.
