Small Business Loan Program

I. MICRO LOAN PROGRAM

The Town offers low interest loans of up to $50,000 for the purchase of machinery and equipment, interior and / or exterior renovations and property improvements. The program is available in all areas of Hamden.

Interest rates for loans up to a maximum of 5 years (60 months) will float based on the Wall Street Journal Prime rate.

II. DOWN-PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Town offers loans for the purchase of commercial and mixed-use properties in all areas of Town. The maximum loan is $50,000 and can be used for down-payment and/or related closing costs. The loan rate is prime rate plus one percentage point. Each loan will be amortized for a 15 year period.
