Hamden Library Business Resource Center

Supporting the Growth of Small Businesses

The Hamden Library Business Resource Center has a collection of reference books, circulating materials, videos, audiocassettes, periodicals, computers software and other resources to serve your business needs. Our Reference Department is staffed by professionals available during all library hours to answer your questions or to make referrals. They can assist you in locating information about companies, finances, management planning, investment services or starting a business. Handouts and pamphlets are provided by our partners as part of our referral service.

Computers

The Center’s personal computers contain CD-ROM technology and business software to help in developing business and marketing plans, budget, financial spreadsheets, business forms, employee policy manuals and business contracts.

Referrals

Referrals are made to our partner network of affiliated resource people, the Hamden Economic Development Office, Town departments, the Regional Business Resource Center and other agencies. Their consulting services include:

Seminars

The Library conducts periodic seminars on how to use the resources of the Center. The partners provide seminars at the Miller complex and other locations on various business management, financial and marketing topics.

Internet

The Internet opens up a whole new arena for business research. The library had information on Web sites dedicated to business sources on the Internet.
