Hamden Mayor Launches Unique Cost-Saving Initiative
HAMDEN, Conn, (Sept 14, 2017) - on September 7, Hamden Mayor Curt Leng accompanied United Illuminating (UI) authorized contractor CME Energy Services as they performed a Home Energy Solutions energy assessment on the home of Hamden Director of Economic Development & Neighborhood Revitalization Dale Kroop.
This event marked the official launch of a unique cost-saving program where Hamden will pay the $149 co-pay for the first 50 residents who sign-up for Home Energy Solutions. As an active participant in the Clean Energy Communities program offered through the Energize Connecticut initiative, Hamden has elected to use $7,500 of its earned $15,000 Bright Idea Grant to cover these costs.
