Now that we have had four sessions on Health Care, STEM, The Trades and Manufacturing, Hamden’s Department of Economic and Neighborhood Development is pleased to announce the next two panels for the series. We know you will be pleased with the speakers who will appear on the next two panels. Stay tuned for the coming details.
This series promotes career opportunities for Hamden residents, particularly students entering or leaving middle school or entering or currently in high school. All sessions will be videotaped. The videos from the first two panels will soon be available for viewing.
· Careers in Sustainability/Environmental Science: Tuesday April 2, 630 PM: Miller Library Friends Room
Speakers will discuss careers in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Brownfield Restoration, Building Deconstruction and Utility Management
· Entrepreneurship (Starting a Business): Thursday April 18th 630 PM Miller Senior Center (behind Miller Library)
You will hear valuable information on starting a Business, Business Plans Financial Literacy and the Hamden High DECA Entrepreneurship program.
Future Workshops Include (Dates TBA):
· Information Technology: Coding, HTML and Artificial intelligence.
· Job Readiness: Internships, Appearance, Interview Skills, Financial Literacy, and Student Debt
